Ok, to address the end of this video .. Why do I play guitar? Because I want to understand music theory to be able to improvise over all these fascinating chord changes. Just look how Guthrie even improvs in double stops .. multiple notes! Jazz chords produce these beautiful colors and to be able to embellish over them is the very definition of magic.
